La Montagne de Charance aux environs de Gap le 30 Octobre 2015

Hier la pluie est tombée en force toute la journée et cette nuit elle s'est transformée en neige dès 1400m. Je suis un peu en avance ce matin, bien m'en a pris, la camionnette est toute blanche avec un pare brise recouvert de plusieurs cm de glace. Tout le monde est bien à l'heure. Le RDV du café est chez Lacour. Les 7 randonneurs rassasiés, nous filons à Gap. C'est un peu loin mais cette rando vaut le déplacement. Au parking, sous un soleil rasant manquant encore de chaleur, chacun se prépare. Gants, bonnet, veste fermée, le groupe longe le minuscule lac de Charance, le canal du Drac et s'enfonce dans la forêt. Les couleurs d'automne et les rayons de soleil à travers les branches sont une merveille. Bon sang qu'est-ce que vous attendez pour venir? Un tapis de feuilles de hêtres recouvre et rend glissant le sentier de montée. J'en connais qui poseront involontairement et brutalement leur pantalon tout propre. Un stratus est collé à la paroi et aura bien du mal à se dissiper. La montée à la brèche complique un brin l'arrivée sur les crêtes. La vue des sommets, Vieux Chaillol en tête, est splendide. On a beau être habitué mais c'est toujours un plaisir et comme de grands enfants chacun admire, reconnaît un sommet, certains les nomment presque tous. La montée jusqu'à la croix au Pic de Charance demande un effort fait avec allégresse. Le sommet suivant sera le plus haut du jour, le Cuchon 1903m. Mais qu'il fait froid avec ce petit vent glacial. Le gros cairn nous abrite pour le casse croûte et le soleil paraît même chaud. C'est décidé nous faisons le tour complet et continuons par la crête face à la Ceüse en partie cachée par un autre stratus n'en finissant pas de se transformer en cumulus. Prudence, prudence car la descente est glissante. En bas nous retrouvons le canal du Drac, il n'y a plus qu'à le suivre, ce que nous ne faisons pas et compliquons un peu le retour.

Dénivelé un peu plus de 1000m et longue rando de 6h. Fx
