Je n'y tiens plus. Voilà quelques
jours que les orages du soir, qui commencent à midi dans l'arrière pays, me
dissuadent d'y aller. Ce vendredi rien ne m'arrête, si les bouchons à la sortie
de Nice. Ça doit être dû à la grève du train des pignes car je n'en croise
aucun sur cette petite voie, d'habitude j'en vois bien un ou deux avec au moins
15 personnes. Je pars du parking BlaBlaCar Le Roucias 123m. Je monte doucement
sur cette route bien connue et m'arrête à Gilette pour le café croissant
matinal. Il fait un vrai temps d'été. Le vent en profite pour s'énerver et
m'énerver aussi car on a toujours l'impression qu'il est défavorable aux
cyclistes. Un peu avant Toudon je fais attention de bien prendre la bonne route
à droite qui monte au mont Vial, dépourvue de signalisation. J'ai déjà monté
800m avec la petite assistance et je suis sûr d'avoir assez d'énergie pour
faire le reste alors j'augmente l'assistance qui sans pitié me demande de
pédaler plus fort. Comme on s'entend bien j'accepte de bon coeur et VeliXe et
son pédaleur atteignent le sommet 1550m en 1h40 et 24km. Là-haut je suis
assailli par des chèvres fort sympathiques mais entreprenantes. Elles me
lèchent de partout afin de récupérer le sel de la transpiration. Un peu de
réconfort le temps d'admirer ces paysages et je dévale la pente pour retrouver
Toudon. Une minuscule route, la 117, ne conduit à travers une futaie tortueuse
et pentue dans la vallée de l'Esteron. Face au vent je remonte 200m pour
arriver à Gilette. Gros moment de détente où j'avale goulûment le plat du jour.
Je sais qu'il ne me reste que de la descente alors je suis zen. C'est sous le
soleil que je retrouve le parking.
Temps de la sortie guère plus de 3h et 57km avec un dénivelé de 1600m, batterie reste 24% Fx
